INCOVA: Breaking All the Old Rules.

HUSCO®’s breakthrough INCOVA® technology is an innovative departure from traditional hydraulic spool valve control systems. Instead of being restricted by the limitations of the traditional spool, the proprietary INCOVA system utilizes independently controlled Electrohydraulic Poppet Valve (EHPV®) which provide independent meter-in and meter-out – as well as special metering modes that significantly improve system efficiency and productivity.

The potential of this advanced system is maximized when a distributed electrohydraulic topology is used in conjunction with an integral controller containing pressure transducers. These pressure transducers measure work port pressures at the cylinder, enabling the INCOVA system to provide electronic load-sensing and pressure compensation. By mounting the valves remotely at the work function, the quantity of hoses, tubes and fittings is reduced significantly. The virtually zero-leak capabilities of the EHPV allow the uniquely distributed INCOVA system to deliver both the control valve function and the zero-leak load-holding; eliminating the need for counter-balance valves or pilot-operated checks.

By eliminating limitations of spool valve technology, INCOVA ushers in a new era in hydraulic control systems. Never before has a technology allowed an equipment OEM to improve vehicle productivity, efficiency, controllability, reliability, safety and flexibility cost effectively. INCOVA technology will fundamentally change the capabilities of off-highway equipment. And, INCOVA technology will lead to radical advances in vehicle structures and designs never seen before.
